It’s hard not to be magical by the tranquility of the Kashmir lakes and their virgin beauty. The lakes aren’t the only thing that stands out, but the barren mountains covered in milky white snow make a strong statement. Trek timing and duration
This journey takes roughly 7- 9 days to complete. It’s relatively delicate in terms of the touring challenges. The journey covers roughly 13000 bases in elevation and 63 kilometres. You’ll gain so important about yourself on this fulfilling journey – both physically, mentally, and emotionally. Nothing can prepare a mountaineer for the disagreeing and inviting feelings of whether or not his body can repel similar strains and whether or not he’ll survive. The joy at reaching the destination is apparent. With a many medications, this journey is a memorable bone that will be treasured by pedestrians for times to come.
Needs to know before trek
The journey to the Great Lakes of Kashmir Physical fitness is essential. You can train yourself as a mountaineer by exercising regularly at the spa, running on an grade, biking,cross-training, and stretching every day. Mental fitness is inversely important. The journey starts roughly 3kms from Sonamarg on the Srinagar Road. There are veritably many Shabbas along the way. Pedestrians should eat at the Naranag stop, as the last trace of a dwelling spot will be at Narana. The trail angles left at 10 twinkles and cross a meadow. This meadow overlooks Sonamarg. Within half an hour, you’ll reach the top of the meadow, where Maple and Pine trees begin. The trail descends snappily to a small beck, also climbs back over. The coming section is a thick timber of Maple trees. It’s a unique experience to walk on the green lawn among the Maples.

There are no shops hard so make sure you have everything you need.

We journey to Nichnai via Shekdur after breakfast.
You’ll find the trail through thick timbers of Maple, Pine, and Bhoj trees.
We’re allowed to go through the army checkpoint after about half an hour. Then we must submit our ID attestations.
Journey of trek
It takes roughly 2 and a half hours to journey from Shitkadi, Shekdur through thick pine timbers. You can enjoy instant polls or an omelette at Shekdur if you so ask . As we journey from Shekdur, to Nichnai, we follow the Nichnai Stream. After Shekdur, we’ve lunch at Nichnai. 3 hours ascent, followed by 1- hour descent, and eventually a gentle ascent up to Nichnai( 6 hrs, 9kms). The journey begins 3kms from Sonamarg on the Srinagar Road. Just after 3 km, you’ll see a single Dhaba to your right. This is the last place you’ll find short food, packaged water, biscuits, and other snacks. Naranag is the coming agreement at the end. The track descends to the Sindh swash, which flows between the main road and the slush track. The track runs along the touring trail, but it snappily turns advanced up.
Sights to see
The trail will wind up through the Maple trees for the coming hour- and-a-half. Keep to the path going uphill, as those heading down will take you to near townlets. Between the trees are clearings. Look around to see the Sonamarg vale from the other side. It gets further beautiful as you get advanced. At the top of this crest, the Maple timber ends and the meadow on the other side gently slopes down. Enjoy a many twinkles on the crest and take in the view of Sonamarg Valley. It’s a beautiful scene with the aqueducts, meadows, pines, and city nestled. Now the rise is over, and the trail descends into a meadow. gray Birch trees line the meadow to the left wing, as well as a many cowgirl hooches . The 40- bottom wide meadow is covered in a carpet of green. The meadow is dotted with small becks
that give water.
Conclusion
The small peaks are covered with pulverized snow. This is Shekdur. This is Shekdur. The average mountaineer takes21/2 hours to reach themeadow.However, it’ll take another partial hour, If you choose to end the day’s journey at the meadow’s end. Shekdur is a lovely campground, girdled by Bhojs. This campground is the only one with trees on the journey, so it adds variety to your prints and moments. Make Shekdur your first campground if you’re starting from Srinagar at dawn. At least 2 hours further down is the coming campground Nichnai. It’s too early to chamber if you start from Sonamarg, Shekdur.
